Tamwood camps offer something a little different to the traditional summer-camp experience. Tamwood is a group of language camps situated across America and Canada — New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver. They bring in campers from all over the world who come to improve their English.
Tamwood hires language teachers to run morning classes, while afternoons and off-days are filled with activities led by the camp counsellors. Because the camps are based in big cities and often on university campuses, sightseeing is a huge part of the timetable — a trip to the movies, a basketball game, even Disneyland are all on the table.
Tamwood looks for people with experience working with children in a professional capacity — the ability to look after large groups in a public setting and the ability to think on your feet. It’s a perfect opportunity for anyone considering a career in child-care or teaching.
